The Type SF Steel Form Panel is a permanent high-strength, lightweight form used for poured concrete or aggregate in construction of floor slabs and roof decks.
When these Steel Form Panels are used for roof construction together with lightweight insulating concrete fill, they form a strong structural deck that supports the total weight of slab and roofing materials, plus the desired live loads. The deflections tabulated for this use are higher than actuals because composite action between insulating concrete and steel deck has not been considered.
When the deck is used exclusively as a form for structural concrete slabs, the total loads on the sheets consist of the weight of the wet concrete, plus some arbitrary live load for construction traffic. In this case, tabulated deflections are actual.
Consistent to quality, these panels are roll-formed from hot-dip galvanized steel, G-90 coating, conforming to ASTM A 653, grade 80 for structural quality steel in gauge 28 with a minimum yield strength of 80,000 psi. Each panel provides net coverage width of 30” and may be fabricated to custom lengths up to 40′.
Panels in gauge 20 and gauge 22 galvanized steel in length up to 40′ can also be made to order. Technical date for these panels is available upon request.
