Hurricane Maria devastated the island of Puerto Rico on September 20, destroying homes, knocking out power to the entire island, and causing heavy flooding. A month later, temporary housing, fuel, food, potable water, medications, and other supplies are incredibly limited. Lack of power has brought the economy to a halt, and assessments indicate the full island may not have electricity for months.
Through it all, the employees of Trekker Group’s Puerto Rico Wire locations have been doing all they can to help their communities. Puerto Rico Wire employees put in hundreds of man-hours immediately after the hurricane to make sure the company’s facilities were brought to operating conditions, even as they and their families faced their own long recoveries.
Trekker Group and Puerto Rico Wire are raising funds to help their employees and their families survive, rebuild, and thrive in the storm’s aftermath, but we need your help to keep our Puerto Rico Wire family safe and productive.
Trekker Group and Puerto Rico Wire are kicking off the fundraiser with a donation of $20,000.
